I have been a painter since 1969. At one point, I pursued a photojournalistic career, separate from my fine art focus, which was on my painting; however since the late 1980ís, graphically, and more recently, with the emergence of digital photography, I have been able to merge digital elements into my mixed media work. I expect that new media will more frequently be a part of my art making in the future, though I will always return home to purely plastic, mixed media painting, which is the core of my creative being. For many years my paintings have been primarily non-objective, spiritually based, mixed media works. Since 2001, some elements from nature have begun to appear. I work in series, the major ones being Oneness Paintings, Flowers and Birds. Many of the paintings shown on this sight are from the more recent later two series. I work on all these groups simultaneously and have just begun an additional series based on Southern Mexico. My studio is located in the Washington DC area and I have shown widely throughout the United States. I have a BFA from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, USA.
