I have been a painter since 1969. At one point, I pursued a photojournalistic career, separate from my fine art focus, which was on my painting; however since the late 1980’s, graphically, and more recently, with the emergence of digital photography, I have been able to merge digital elements into my mixed media work. I expect that new media will more frequently be a part of my art making in the future, though I will always return home to purely plastic, mixed media painting, which is the core of my creative being. For many years my paintings have been primarily non-objective, spiritually based, mixed media works. Since 2001, some elements from nature have begun to appear.
